Three more bodies found in Cianjur landslide
A joint evacuation team recovered three more bodies this morning from earthquake-devastated Cikangkareng village in Cianjur, West Java.
The three victims: Aldi (1), Devi (8) and Elis (30) were recovered from piles of cliff rocks falling onto their neighborhood after a 7.3 magnitude earthquake jolt West Java Wednesday.
As of Thursday morning, the evacuation team, which consists of officers from the army, Red Cross and the Search and Rescue team, has found 13 victims, including six children, ranging from 1 to 12 years old.
They have also recorded 47 people missing, including at least 15 children.
"There was a gaming shop which was full of children when the earthquake rocked the cliff," Agus Ibro, coordinator of the village's crisis center, said.
The team, however, still have to work manually since no heavy machine has arrived to assist them.
